Spring is the busiest time of the school year across the district – the last two months are filled with field trips, final projects, graduation preparation, scholarship adjudications, and a review of everything students have learned throughout the school year.

In this issue of the report, you can read about perseverance at W.E. Graham Community School, extra curricular activities at Blewett Elementary, an amazing art exhibition by grade 9 students at Trafalgar Middle School, and the annual egg drop at Salmo Elementary

Students across the district are preparing for final projects, raising funds for their graduation celebrations, and participating in field trips as far away as Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre on the west coast of Vancouver Island.

And, if you’re interested in digging into some data on how students are doing academically, socially and across grades and schools, take a few minutes to scan through the Cultural Identity Development and Career Development continuous learning reports. You can find all of SD8’s continuous learning reports on our website.

Warmly,

Trish
