Our school learning plan is really coming to life! Our middle school learners, under the leadership of our district's School Leader Development Program, teacher, Lara Draper, are designing games to build our K/1 children’s letter, sound, and sight word vocabulary, our grade 2/3 students' memorization of addition facts and our grade 4/5 learners' multiplication facts. It’s exciting to see how the grade 6/7/8 students are contributing to the work of building skills in literacy and numeracy and making it super fun for our elementary students. This work not only enhances learning and relationships through the grades, but it builds Joy into the learning, one of our school goals this year.  Parents will get a chance to help with this project by getting some of the learning materials to practice at home with their children - spreading the joy!
