Students in K-3 walk to our local wetlands to spend whole days experiencing and studying changes over time. They study biomes through focused observation and note-taking, art, and creative writing.  These intrepid young learners go for four days, rain or shine. 

Especially exciting on this day was the number of insects they saw and how to identify all of them.  What do they eat? What eats them?  How do they change over time?  Why do you call it that when I know it as something else?
